"She's as good as they come"
Stan Getz
Jazz singer Carol Fredette
pauses in front of the Iridium marquee before her performance June 30, 2010. On the same marquee, she found it especially meaningful that a tribute to the late pianist Hank Jones was following her into the club. In the mid '80s, Carol worked with Jones and The Great Jazz Trio at Fat Tuesdays,
with Ron Carter, bass, and the late Mel Lewis, drums, and at Lush Life with Jones
and the late tenor saxophonist Al Cohn, with whom Carol toured as well.
